At 1pm on the 25th of March I had my first boxing match. After three rounds, a piercing bell signalled the end of the fight. However, as one fight ended, another had begun - namely an ongoing battle with bulimia.

In my darkest hour, my eating disorder tried to use running to destroy my life. It failed. Running showed me recovery is possible.

Throughout this whole period, I never fully understood how unwell I was. My moment of hope came when my brother introduced me to his personal trainer.
